On 23rd December 2017 at 8.00 am Local Time, Severe Tropical Storm ‘Tembin’ was located at Sulu Sea (7.7ーN 120.4ーE) and it is forecasted to move Westward to South China Sea.

Severe Tropical Storm ‘Tembin’ may cause prolonged rain and occasional heavy showers. Wind gust of up to 50 km/h can be expected near heavy showers and Rough sea state of up to 4.0 metres. This weather condition has high risk of flood or flash flood over low lying and flood prone areas, landslides and fallen trees.

The effect of this Severe Tropical Storm ‘Tembin’ is expected to commence today 23rd December 2017 until 26th December 2017.

Pada 23 Disember 2017 pukul 8.00 pagi waktu tempatan, Ribut Tropika Ganas ‘Tembin’ berada di Laut Sulu (7.7ーN 120.4ーE ) dan diramalkan akan bergerak ke arah Barat menuju Laut China Selatan.

Ribut Tropika ‘Tembin’ boleh menyebabkan hujan berpanjangan dan berintensiti lebat sekali sekala. Angin kencang mencapai sehingga 50 kmsj boleh berlaku semasa hujan lebat, dan keadaan ombak bergelora mencapai sehingga 4.0 meter. Keadaan ini mempunyai risiko tinggi menyebabkan banjir atau banjir kilat di kawasan rendah dan mudah banjir, kejadian tanah susur dan pokok tumbang.

Kesan dari sistem Ribut Tropika Ganas ‘Tembin’ ini dijangka akan bermula pada hari ini, 23 Disember 2017 sehingga 26 Disember 2017.

Pada 19 Disember 2017 pukul 2.00 petang waktu setempat, Ribut Tropika Kai-Tak berada di Laut China Selatan (8.5テつーN 115.3テつーE ) iaitu di Utara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan diramalkan akan terus berada di Laut China Selatan sambil bergerak ke arah Barat Daya dan akan beredar jauh dari negara kita.

Keadaan cuaca lembap dengan hujan berintensi lebat sekali sekala dengan risiko banjir atau banjir kilat, angin kencang mencapai sehingga 45 kmsj, dan ombak bergelora sehingga 4.0m masih dijangka berlaku di Negara kita iaitu kesan daripada Ribut Tropika Kai-Tak. Kesan sampingan sistem Ribut Tropika Kai-Tak ini dijangka akan mula berkurangan bermula pada 21 Disember 2017.

On 19th December 2017 at 2.00 pm Local Time, Tropical Storm Kai-Tak was located at South China Sea (18.5テつーN 115.3テつーE) North of Brunei Darussalam and it is predicted to move Southwestward and moving further from our country.

Wet condition, occasional heavy showers with risk of flood or flash flood, strong wind with gust of up to 45 km/h and Rough sea state of up to 4.0m may still be expected in our country due to influence from Tropical Storm Kai-Tak. The indirect effect of Tropical Storm Kai-Tak is expected to subside by 21st December 2017.

On 15th December 2017 (at 1400 LT) Tropical Storm Kai-Tak was located to the East of the Philippines (11.6テつーN 127.7テつーE) and is predicted to move to the West, affecting the Philippines.
Tropical Storm Kai-Tak will not affect our country directly, however, wet condition is expected with occasional heavy showers and wind gust reaching up to 40 km/h near showers. Heavy intensity showers may cause risk of flooding or flash flooding over low-lying and flood prone areas. The sea state over Brunei Water may rise from moderate to rough state up to 3.0m. The indirect effect of Tropical Storm Kai-Tak starts on 16th December 2017 and ends on 21st December 2017.
